• Course enrollment state: Stored in your browser's local storage under the key asggl-enrollment-{courseSlug}. This allows you to resume your course after a page refresh. It contains your enrollment ID, name, institution, and email — not your exam answers.
• Session cookies: Temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser, used for maintaining your connection to our servers.

Essential cookies do not require your consent under the GDPR (Article 5(3) ePrivacy Directive exemption).

These cookies enhance your experience but are not strictly necessary for the core functionality:

• UI preferences: Remember whether you have the AI teacher chat panel open, which lesson you were viewing, and other interface state.
• Study room navigation: Remember which study material section you were reading.

These are stored in local storage and do not track you across websites.

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how our courses are used, which lessons are most accessed, and where students encounter difficulties. This data is aggregated and anonymised — it cannot be used to identify you personally.

Analytics data we collect includes: page views, lesson completion rates, quiz pass rates, time spent on study materials, and broadcasting room video engagement. This data helps us improve our courses and platform.

You will see a cookie consent banner on your first visit. You may accept or decline analytics cookies. If you decline, we will not set analytics cookies.

We use third-party services that may set their own cookies:

• YouTube: Videos in our broadcasting rooms are embedded from YouTube. When you play a video, YouTube may set cookies on your device. YouTube's cookie practices are governed by YouTube's privacy policy and Google's cookie policy. We recommend reviewing YouTube's policies if you have concerns.
• Google Fonts: Our website uses Google Fonts for typography. Google may set cookies when fonts are loaded. This is limited to font delivery and does not track your browsing behaviour.
• QR code service: Certificates include a QR code generated via api.qrserver.com. This service does not set cookies on the website visitor's device.

We do not control third-party cookies. You can manage them through your browser settings or the third party's opt-out mechanisms.

In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage to save your course enrollment state and UI preferences. Local storage is similar to cookies but can store more data and is not automatically sent to our servers with each request. You can clear local storage through your browser's site data settings.

Our website respects Do Not Track (DNT) signals. If your browser is configured to send a DNT signal, we will not set analytics cookies. Essential and functional cookies will still be set as they are necessary for the service to function.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our use of cookies or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on our website.
