By accessing or using the Atlantic School of Global Governance and Leadership ("ASGGL", "we", "us", or "our") website at asggl.org and any related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
ASGGL is the training arm of Advocacy Unified Network (AUN), a non-profit, non-partisan think tank registered in The Hague, Netherlands.
You must be at least 16 years old to use our services. By registering for a course, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and that the information you provide (first name, last name, institution, and email) is accurate and truthful.
Your name as provided will appear on your certificate. You are responsible for ensuring the name is spelled correctly. ASGGL is not liable for certificates with incorrect names due to user input errors.
To enrol in a course, you must provide your first name, last name, institution or credentials, and a valid email address. All fields are mandatory.
Upon registration, you will be enrolled in the course and your progress will be tracked automatically. You may access the course lessons, study room, broadcasting room, and final examination.
Tier 1 awareness courses are free of charge. Future paid tiers (Certificate, Professional, Executive, Diploma, Fellowship) will have fees as published on our website at the time of enrolment.
All study material provided in the study room is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial, view-only use. You may read the material online within the study room but you may not:
The study material is protected by copyright. All rights are reserved by ASGGL and/or AUN. Technical measures (including disabling text selection, copying, and right-click) are in place to enforce these restrictions.
Each course includes a final examination consisting of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and descriptive (essay-type) questions.
MCQ grading: MCQs are graded automatically based on pre-defined correct answers.
Descriptive grading: Descriptive answers are graded by an AI examiner using a large language model. The AI assigns marks based on model answers and grading criteria. While we strive for accuracy and fairness, AI grading is inherently approximate. If you believe your answer has been unfairly graded, you may request a manual review by emailing info@aunetwork.org.
The pass mark is 60%. The combined score is calculated as 50% MCQ + 50% descriptive.
Upon successful completion of a course (all lessons completed + exam passed), ASGGL's automation agent will automatically issue a digital Certificate of Completion with a unique certificate number.
Certificates are issued in PDF format and are downloadable from your course completion page. Each certificate includes a verification code and QR code that can be verified at asggl.org/verify.
Certificates are issued under the name you provided at registration. ASGGL is not responsible for certificates issued under incorrect names due to registration errors.
Certificates are non-transferable. You may display your certificate on professional platforms (e.g., LinkedIn) and share the verification link. You may not alter, forge, or misrepresent a certificate.
ASGGL reserves the right to revoke certificates in cases of academic dishonesty, fraud, or violation of these Terms. Revoked certificates will be marked as such in the verification system.
You agree to complete all course work, including lessons and examinations, independently and without external assistance unless explicitly permitted. You may not:
Violations of academic integrity may result in immediate revocation of certificates, disqualification from current and future courses, and reporting to relevant authorities.
ASGGL uses AI-powered services including Athena (the website concierge) and school-specific AI teachers. These services are provided for informational and educational purposes only.
AI-generated responses may contain errors. You should not rely solely on AI responses for critical decisions. ASGGL is not liable for any consequences arising from reliance on AI-generated content.
Conversations with AI teachers may be logged for quality improvement and audit purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details.

While we strive for accuracy in our course content and AI grading, we make no warranties regarding the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any information provided through our services.
Certificates indicate completion of a course but do not constitute a formal academic qualification, degree, or professional licence. ASGGL is pursuing institutional accreditation but is not currently accredited. Employers and institutions may or may not recognise ASGGL certificates at their discretion.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ASGGL, AUN, and their officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid us for the course that gave rise to the claim (which, for free Tier 1 courses, is zero).
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ASGGL, AUN, and their officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of our services, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved by the competent courts of The Hague, Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute amicably by contacting us at info@aunetwork.org.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to our services at any time, with or without cause, including if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use our services ceases immediately, but your earned certificates remain valid (unless revoked for cause).
You may stop using our services at any time. If you wish to delete your account and personal data, see our Privacy Policy for your data rights.
ASGGL shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay is caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, labour disputes, power outages, internet or telecommunications failures, or cyber-attacks.
In the event of a force majeure, our obligations will be suspended for the duration of the event. We will use reasonable efforts to resume service as soon as practicable.
All content provided through ASGGL courses, study materials, AI teachers, and Athena is for educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial, medical, or professional advice of any kind.
You should not rely on ASGGL content as a substitute for professional advice tailored to your specific situation. ASGGL, AUN, and their officers, employees, and affiliates accept no responsibility for any decisions made or actions taken based on course content.
The AI teachers and Athena are AI-powered services. Their responses are generated by language models and may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. You should verify any critical information through independent sources.
Descriptive exam answers are graded by an AI examiner using a large language model. While we strive for accuracy and fairness, AI grading is inherently approximate and may not perfectly reflect the quality of your answer. ASGGL reserves the right to adjust grading criteria, models, and methodologies at any time.
If you believe your answer has been unfairly graded, you may request a manual review by emailing info@aunetwork.org within 30 days of receiving your result. Manual review decisions are final and at ASGGL's sole discretion.
ASGGL is not liable for any consequences arising from AI grading decisions, including but not limited to failure to pass a course, delayed certification, or impact on career or academic opportunities.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be severed from these Terms and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ASGGL regarding your use of our services, and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings, communications, and agreements, whether written or oral.
No failure or delay by ASGGL in exercising any right or provision under these Terms shall constitute a waiver of that right or provision. A waiver on one occasion is not a waiver of any future occasion.
You may not assign, transfer, or sublicense these Terms or your rights hereunder without ASGGL's prior written consent. ASGGL may assign these Terms freely. Any attempted assignment in violation of this section is void.
Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to intellectual property provisions, disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law provisions.
If you have questions about these Terms, contact us at info@aunetwork.org or at Fluwelen Burgwal 58, 2511 CJ The Hague, Netherlands.
